Dear God
I know I cannot handle this day without You. Set my heart on Your Presence from the moment I rise to the last blink of my eyes. Help me ignore the demand of my day until I’ve loaded Your truth into the foundations of my soul.
In Jesus Name, Amen.
“Pray to the Father. He loves to help. You’ll get His help and won’t be condescended to when you ask for it. Ask boldly, believing, without a second thought” James 1:5-6
“I am slow to speak, quick to hear, and slow to anger.” James 1:19

Are your quilt squares filled with holes?
An e-mail sent to me described a woman whose angel sewed her quilt squares together to make up a tapestry of her life when she went to heaven to meet Jesus Christ.
“I noticed how ragged and empty each of my squares was. They were filled with giant holes. Each square was labeled with a part of my life that had been difficult, the challenges and temptations I was faced with in everyday life. I saw hardships that I endured, which were the largest holes of all.” ………”My angel was sewing the ragged pieces of cloth together, threadbare and empty, like binding air”.
When this woman held up her quilt she felt shame, “I hadn’t had all the earthly fortunes. I had love in my life, and laughter. But there had also been trials of illness, and wealth, and false accusations that took from me my world, as I knew it. I had to start over many times. I often struggled with the temptation to quit, only to somehow muster the strength to pick up and begin again. I spent many nights on my knees in prayer, asking for help and guidance in my life. I had often been held up to ridicule, which I endured painfully, each time offering it up to the Father in hopes that I would not melt within my skin beneath the judgmental gaze of those who unfairly judged me.”
As she held her tapestry up before the Lord, light flooded the many holes creating an image of the face of Christ. When Christ stood before her He said: “Every time you gave over your life to Me, it became My life, My hardships and My struggles. Each point of light in your life is when you stepped aside and let Me shine through, until there was more of Me than there was of you”
This beautiful illustration demonstrates the way Christ works in our lives, if we step aside and let His Light shine through us.
As we approach the time we remember and celebrate His great sacrifice, giving up His own Life that we may have a new life with Him, let us give our thanks to Him with great love and gratitude.
“It is not what we do, but Who He is, not who we are, but what He did.” The Prince of Peace and Love
This prayer was e-mailed to me from a friend:
Father,
Thank You for each and every day. You have blessed us here on earth. Thank Your for Your tender mercies. Thank You for giving us friends and family to share these joys with. I ask You to bless my friends, relatives and those I care deeply for, who are reading this right now.
Where there is joy, give them continued joy. Where there is pain, give them your peace and mercy. Where there is fear, bring them peace. Where there is self-doubt, release a renewed confidence. Where there is need, fulfill their needs.
Bless their houses, families, finances, their goings and their comings. In Jesus’ name, Amen
I try to start each day with a prayer or scripture that is going to help me deal with whatever will arise. Today I would like to share this with you.
When I think I have everything organized and I feel really good about how well it is going, guess what? A problem pops up and my plans go bye-bye. In Proverbs 16;9 it says:”In his heart a man plans his course, but the Lord determines his steps”.
God”s love is ever and always, eternally present.” Psalm 103:17
I will both lie down in peace and sleep, for you alone
O Lord, make me dwell in safety. Psalms 4:8
We know that being deprived of sleep can cause mental and physical problems,
and it is the sleep and peace that only our Lord can give us that brings us that soul satisfying feeling of safety. Thank You, Lord God, for You are the great Comforter and Restorer. You are our refuge and our fortress, providing us the safety and the strength needed to carry on in difficult times. Praise God for He is Holy and worthy of all praise and worship.Amen

Jeremiah 29:11,12
“For I know the plans I have for you, says the Lord. They are plans for good and not for evil, to give you a future and a hope. In those days when you pray, I will listen.”
It is comforting to know that the Lord is with me and looking out for my welfare. How many times have you made your own plans to have them fail, leaving you frustrated. Sometimes, I find it hard to wait and take over, only to find that it was a waste of time and energy. Isn’t it good to know that God is always listening for us to talk to Him?
Romans 12.2
“Be glad for all God is planning for you. Be patient in trouble, and prayerful always.”
Do you have days that just don’t make you happy? Everything is out of whack and no matter what you say or do, it just isn’t right. The more you try the worse it gets. Frustrations and anger are emotions that surface and get in the way of finding peace and harmony. “God can transform your life by transforming your thoughts.”
