Attitude Adustment

It seems lately that I am adjusting my attitude every day. Sometimes two or three times a day. Since there is no way I can escape from reality, I decided to change the way I look at reality, therefore, I adjust my attitude.

I have days that are very fulfilling and I am happy and contented. I want every day to be like that … OOPS, but that is not real life. This is what I call “I need this attitude of contentment”.

Then I have days I just want to throw things, but I would have to clean up the mess, so that’s not going to happen. This is called, “I don’t need this attitude of frustration”.

When I have a day to do whatever I choose, and it doesn’t happen that often, time just zips by. The saying, “time flies when you are having fun” is true. I have to admit I try to find time to read or sketch or paint or just sit in my rocking chair doing nothing. You can call that “time out attitude”.

Do you ever have days that you forget to laugh, or just do fun things that make you laugh? Lately those days just don’t seem to be happening for me as often. What a sobering thought. Maybe what is needed is to watch loony tunes with Bugs Bunny and the gang, that always makes my laugh. Laughter is a good attitude adjuster.

I refuse to let depression set in, I do not have time to deal with it, so I work my way through whatever is bothering me. Sometimes, when you talk about what is bugging you out loud, you usually listen to what you are saying. That helps sometimes. This is a “stop and listens attitude.”

I am so grateful for my family. I am really blessed for the love and support that they give me but as far as attitude consultants, forget it. Every morning before I start the day, I say a prayer thanking God for His blessings and this day. Then ask for an attitude adjustment to keep me from having a bad day. Your thoughts can become action so keep your thoughts positive. This is definitely an attitude adjustment that is very good
We can call this “a gratitude attitude”.

    Today will be good day
    I will find something to laugh about
    I will smile, even if I don’t want to
    I will look at the sky, clouds, flowers and trees and appreciate the beauty of nature
    I will be a good listener by keeping my mouth shut
    I will be thankful for all of my blessings
    I will keep my thoughts on others, no pity party for me
    I will not save the world, but I will try to make my world better
    I will have positive thoughts so no negativity allowed.
    Practice what I preach.
